Individual Counseling
Following the orientation session, you will be scheduled for a one-on-one meeting with a housing counselor who will confidentially review your financial information. Whether you are three months or three years away from purchasing a home, we are here to help you achieve your goal. Your housing counselor will work with you to develop a personalized home-buying action plan. In your counseling session, you will also:
• Review and receive a copy of your tri-merge credit report;
• Identify any financial and credit obstacles; and
• Develop a plan for mortgage readiness and potential eligibility for special programs

You will meet with your counselor periodically to make sure that you are on track with your action plan, provide you with support, tips and tools as you progress towards the next steps in the plan. Follow up counseling appointments will address issues such as:

• Identifying the best financing options;
• Assisting with the preparation of the mortgage loan application;
• Preparing for your closing
