Think that you'll never be able to buy a house, rehab your current home, prevent foreclosure, maintain good credit? Think again! NHS - Northshore is here to help, and offers a variety of services within each program listed to the left.  Click on each topic for more information!

NHS-Northshore opened its doors in Mandeville in June 2008.  In January, 2010, a second office opened in Bogalusa.  Every Monday, an NHS counselor is available to see customers in Slidell.  A full array of services are provided at each NHS-Northshore location.

Orientation
The Orientation Session is the first step in accessing NHS programs and resources. During the orientation, we provide detailed information on the organization and services. We also explain what you can expect to encounter as you go through our program.

Individual Counseling
Within 5 days of the orientation, a counselor will call you to schedule a one-on-one counseling session.  At that session, a prepurchase action plan will be developed to start your journey to homeownership.

Homebuyer Training
Homebuyer training classes take participants through the steps of becoming a homeowner.  Every other month, NHS staff and industry professionals teach the 12-hour class to demystify the home buying process

Financial Fitness
Financial fitness classes provide basic financial management training with an emphasis on credit management and budgeting.
