Materials Resource Library
The NHS Design Center features a library of new home construction and remodeling information and material samples. NHS customers are invited to explore the material samples of building materials such as flooring, insulation, exterior siding, and countertop finishes helping make decisions about the selection of materials for their home without the pressure of a salesperson seeking to sell you the material. You have the advantage of knowledgeable guidance from professional staff that is not attempting to sell any product or services to you. NHS staff work to keep the materials samples current and local. NHS Design/Build Staff are available to facilitate your exploration and answer questions you may have about materials selection and how you can plan them into your project.

Green Building and Renovation
Building or renovating an energy efficient project is quite a challenge in the climate of Southeastern Louisiana. With so much talk about building "green", it's difficult to know if your investment will result in substantial savings or the performance you expect from the improvements.

NHS has experience in building energy efficient homes and renovations, including a LEED© for Homes certified home. Because of our expertise in affordable housing development, our recommendations are informed by efficiency and effectiveness of the improvement.
