Successful Steps to Buying a Home

Home Inspection / Completing Paperwork

Home Inspection
A critical part before buying a house is the Home Inspection which will tell you everything you need to know about the property. NHS has staff that can do a thorough inspection for you. The inspector's report can help you negotiate the best price. NHS will provide you with a report detailing all necessary repairs with a cost estimate to correct all problems. It is very important to exercise your right to an inspection within 10 days from acceptance of your offer to purchase the home.

Completing Paperwork
Once you've found your home, NHS will help you plan your financing strategy. As a customer of the HomeOwnership Center, you might be eligible for a variety of special programs designed to help ease the costs of homeownership, such as:

Low interest down payment loans
Zero interest closing cost loans
Low cost rehab loans for renovations

After we help you determine which of these programs are available to you, our staff will assist you in filling out the necessary paperwork required for these programs. We can also offer suggestions on finding a lender that offers the mortgage loan products you have decided are best for you.

In addition, we will help you by supplying a referral list of:

Attorneys
Lenders
